Generally, Milkshakes can’t be consumed as meal whereas smoothies can be taken up as a meal replacement since they are rich in various minerals and vitamins. Milkshakes are diary-based which are most commonly prepared using fruits, ice cream, and flavored syrups. On the other hand, Smoothies are particularly made with fruits and adding up some ingredients like yogurt or milk or tiger nut flour, which contain resistant starch. Many starch manufacturers in India are importing resistant starch which holds many benefits and hard enough to maintain a good diet.

Protein Content

On this aspect, shakes really stands apart from Smoothies. Why because Smoothies may or may not contain any protein at all.
